I painted as a child and stopped after I was sixteen – no particular reason. My mother, Nola Wade, was the painter in our family. Soon after she died in 2004 a ferocious urge to paint awoke within me, and I must have done over 20 canvases in the next couple of years. I’m not professional or clever, but I enjoy it very much.
